GREAT place to smoke a bowl and watch the city. Kind of windy at times...bring a sweater!

yeah, it's a great place to go and hang out. Good place to buy a "bag", too. I have never, ever felt threatened or scared while hanging out here. And I have certainly never been bit on the but by a dog. Maybe the above poster smelled too good to resist...

  • First Baptist Church of San Francisco, W. J. (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
This large church building was constructed after the San Francisco Earthquake, and recently retrofitted after a history of fire. The congregation and its clergy have a history of embracing right wing conservative causes, such as the thoroughly discredited House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) purges of Communists in Hollywood and the State Department during the 1950's. More recently the clergy have spoken out against marriage equality, gays in the military, whatever else they can think up that's totally against San Francisco values. This church also recommends a thoroughly discredited pseudo-psychological Reparative Therapy program to change the sexual orientation of those who are willing to submit to it.

Hm, how do I vote on something that is half true and half false. This is the correct location for the DNA Lounge, but "the best interior fixtures ever", I would have to say NO to that.

aka "Hippy Hill" due to the hippies and street rats who bang drums, smoke pot and drink heavily, often letting their pit bulls bit people on the butt.

  • Francis Scott Key Elementary School, John H. (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
Right! It's Francis Scott Key Elementary School. Francis Scott Key wrote our national anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner." Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? My Dad worked at this school for many years when I was a kid.
